Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced that 169 of the 328 missing Guru Granth Sahib 'saroops' were recovered during an ongoing Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe near Banga in Nawanshahr district. While 30 saroops had official records, 139 lacked documentation. The SIT found discrepancies in records at Rasokhana Nabh Kanwal Raja Sahib gurdwara, which denied holding any missing saroops. Mann emphasized the recovery as a duty, not an achievement, and pledged to hand over the saroops as directed by the Akal Takht or SGPC. The Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) urged full cooperation for a logical probe conclusion.
