
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has in principle agreed to provide a loan of Rs 4,100 crore (USD 500 million) to the Telangana government for the Musi River Development Project. Minister D. Sridhar Babu announced this in the Assembly, stating that the project is divided into five zones, with Zone I's first phase underway. The state government has also sought Rs 3,188 crore from the Ministry of Jal Shakti under the National River Conservation Plan. A consortium has been appointed to prepare a detailed project report, which includes plans to develop Bapu Ghat.
