Construction Begins on New Central Vista Parking Facility Ahead of Secretariat Completion
Work is set to begin on a new parking facility in the Central Vista precinct, designed to accommodate 1,146 two-wheelers and 234 four-wheelers. The 17.7-crore project, awarded to the Central Public Works Department, includes civil, electrical, mechanical, and landscaping works, and is expected to be completed within five months. This development supports the anticipated increase in traffic as all ten Common Central Secretariat buildings are planned for completion by April 2028, with more parking facilities possibly planned to manage future congestion.
