The allegations stem from a viral video and audio recording featuring a former MLA's wife, Urmila Sanawar, who identified 'Gattu' as involved in the 2022 murder. Gautam denies the claims, calling them an attempt to tarnish his image and urging an investigation into the video's origin. He has written to the Uttarakhand Home Secretary regarding the matter.
