The U.S. military reported that a lethal kinetic strike, conducted by Joint Task Force Southern Spear, targeted a vessel suspected of narco-trafficking operations in international waters of the eastern Pacific. The operation resulted in the deaths of two individuals, identified as operatives of Designated Terrorist Organizations. No U.S. personnel were harmed during the engagement, which occurred along known drug-trafficking routes.
