
Bengaluru's police department is undergoing a significant restructuring with the promotion and reassignment of 68 IPS officers. New deputy commissioners of police (DCPs) have been appointed to five divisions, including South-East, North-East, West, Whitefield, and East. Additionally, Superintendents of Police for Bengaluru Rural and Railways have been named. The reshuffle also includes promotions for 23 SPs to DIG rank and two IPS officers to IG rank, aiming to strengthen police administration and leadership.
