Odisha Vigilance Arrests Government Engineer for Disproportionate Assets

The Odisha Vigilance arrested Pramod Kumar Ray, an assistant executive engineer in the Kendrapara irrigation division, for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known income. Raids uncovered a four-storey building, additional properties, cash, vehicles, bank deposits, and household items valued significantly above his earnings. A case was registered against Ray and his wife under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2018, leading to his arrest.
