Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan laid the foundation for a green ammonia and hydrogen plant in Kakinada, aiming to produce 1.5 million tonnes annually by 2027. The Rs 15,600-crore project, developed by AM Green with global partners, will convert a grey ammonia plant into a green facility on 500 acres near Kakinada Port. It is expected to create 8,000 jobs and export green ammonia primarily to Germany, positioning Kakinada as India's Green Hydrogen Valley.
