Manipur's government reports over 10,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) from more than 2,200 households have been resettled, with 4,000 houses under construction. This effort, part of a Rs 523-crore rehabilitation package, aims for safety and stability, utilizing direct benefit transfers and livelihood programs. However, the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has called for protests, citing missed government deadlines for resettlement by the end of 2025.
