
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced a Rs 3,000 crore investment over three years to enhance healthcare infrastructure, including upgrading medical technology and replacing equipment older than 15 years. The government plans to decentralize administrative and financial powers to medical officers, create dedicated funds for urgent hospital needs, and strengthen security in health institutions. Recruitment of 236 doctors is underway, with 150 additional posts sanctioned, and trainee doctor salaries may be increased. Model health institutions with advanced facilities are also being developed.
