Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann criticized Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) chief Harjinder Singh Dhami for aligning with SAD leader Sukhbir Singh Badal instead of Sikh spiritual authority. Mann highlighted the formation of a Special Investigation Team to probe the missing 328 sacred copies of Guru Granth Sahib, attributing the issue to past Akali misdeeds. Emphasizing the supremacy of the Akal Takht, Mann rejected interference in religious institutions and warned that a return of Akali Dal to power would regress Punjab. He also noted his government’s focus on development and public welfare, contrasting it with previous regimes’ alleged intimidation tactics.
