Punjab Police, in coordination with central intelligence agencies, recovered a significant cache of arms near Narot Jaimal Singh, close to the India-Pakistan border in Pathankot district. The seizure included three AK-47 rifles, two pistols of Turkish and Chinese origin, multiple magazines, and 98 live cartridges. Intelligence suggests the consignment was smuggled from Pakistan to disrupt peace, linked to criminal-turned-terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda, reportedly supported by Pakistan's ISI. Security operations and raids are ongoing to apprehend those involved and prevent future threats.
