Andhra Pradesh Home Minister V. Anitha reported a 6.17% decrease in overall IPC BNS crimes in 2025, alongside significant reductions in specific categories like riots, crimes against SCs/STs, women, POCSO, and NDPS cases. The state also saw improved property crime detection and recovery rates, numerous convictions, and successful initiatives for women and child safety. Enhanced CCTV and drone surveillance, reduced emergency response times, and a decline in cyber FIRs were also highlighted, alongside efforts in anti-narcotics drives and police welfare.
