Jharkhand Plans Law to Prevent Diversion of Tribal Sub-Plan Funds

Jharkhand's Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Minority and Backward Class Welfare Minister Chamra Linda announced plans to draft a law preventing diversion of Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) funds, citing misuse by some departments due to lack of a monitoring agency. The government intends to study similar laws from Andhra Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh. The TSP funds aim to support tribal development. Issues regarding scholarships for OBC students were also raised, with funding delays attributed to central government releases.
