The Public Works Department (PWD) plans to construct new drains and kerb channels around Bharat Mandapam and Pragati Maidan to address persistent waterlogging issues during monsoon. These channels will redirect water flow to larger drainage systems. The project, expected to take one month, aims to resolve recurring problems observed even during the G-20 summit. PWD is also undertaking repairs for seepage in the Pragati Maidan tunnel.
