Centre Assures Rs 10 Crore Rice Aid for Refugees in Mizoram
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has assured Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma that the Centre will provide rice worth Rs 10 crore to support nearly 40,000 refugees from Myanmar, Bangladesh, and displaced people from Manipur sheltered in Mizoram. The Chief Minister also requested inclusion under the Security Related Expenditure Scheme to aid the state's efforts against drug trafficking, trans-border crimes, and cyber threats. Mizoram has not previously received this assistance due to its peaceful status.
