
In Maharashtra's municipal corporation elections, the ruling Mahayuti coalition secured a significant advantage, with 68 out of 69 seats decided before polling. The BJP emerged as the largest gainer, with 44 candidates winning unopposed. Other parties in the coalition also saw unopposed victories: Shiv Sena (22), NCP (2), and the Islamic Party (1). A total of 453 candidates withdrew their nominations on the final day.
