Gujarat plans to develop five satellite towns—Sanand, Savli, Kalol, Bardoli, and Hirasar—by 2030 to alleviate pressure on major cities. These towns will feature metro-like facilities, world-class infrastructure, and new employment opportunities, aiming to foster holistic development of Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. Urban planners are being invited to prepare master plans for these strategically located centers, which will be designed as self-sufficient economic hubs.
