The Nagaland government's Political Affairs Committee (PAC) has proposed forming a unified 'Naga Common Platform' to consolidate various tribal apex bodies and political groups under one umbrella. Deputy Chief Minister T R Zeliang emphasized that a single cohesive mandate is needed to overcome internal divisions and strengthen representation in ongoing peace negotiations. The move follows a 2015 framework agreement between NSCN(IM) and the Indian government, aiming to resolve the longstanding Naga political issue through unified dialogue.
