Israeli Air Force Reports Strike Killing Alleged Hezbollah Operative in Beirut

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) claimed it conducted an airstrike in Beirut on Thursday, killing Marthsa Hussein Sarour, whom it identified as a key member of Hezbollah's aerial unit involved in weapons production. The IAF stated Sarour was the brother of Muhammad Hussein Sarour, a previous aerial unit commander killed in an earlier Israeli operation. The IAF also alleged Sarour worked as a chemistry lecturer at the Lebanese University, suggesting some academic staff may have dual roles with Hezbollah. These claims have been made by Israeli military sources.
