
The Election Commission of India has deployed 1,111 observers, including general, police, and expenditure monitors, for upcoming state assembly elections and bypolls in April across West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Kerala, Puducherry, and several other states. Observers are tasked with ensuring free and fair elections and will be stationed in their constituencies by March 18. They will publicly share contact details and hold daily meetings to address election-related grievances from candidates, parties, or the public.
