
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the state's tax and non-tax revenue collections up to February 2026 for the financial year 2025-26. The state has collected ₹1.96 lakh crore against an annual tax revenue target of ₹2.95 lakh crore. State tax collections, including GST and VAT, reached ₹1.03 lakh crore. Departments reported improvements due to initiatives like AI-based risk analysis and GST 2.0. The Excise Department collected ₹48,501 crore, a 13.2% increase from the previous year, with plans to generate an additional ₹9,050 crore in March.
