Bharatiya Janata Party State president Nainar Nagenthran alleged that the State government orchestrated the Karur stampede at a rally in September, which resulted in 41 deaths. He criticized Chief Minister M. K. Stalin's swift visit to the scene, contrasting it with his delayed response to a previous hooch tragedy. Nagenthran also blamed the Chief Minister for a recent death by suicide, linking it to a ban on lighting a lamp. He further criticized INDIA bloc MPs for impeachment proceedings against Justice G. R.
