
The Supreme Court of India criticized the misuse of Article 32, which allows citizens to seek constitutional remedies for fundamental rights violations, after a petitioner filed a plea despite an ongoing case in the Bombay High Court. A bench led by Justices B V Nagarathna and Ujjal Bhuyan noted a rising number of such petitions, often filed over adjournments, particularly by petitioners near Delhi. The court dismissed the petition, calling it a gross misuse of legal processes.
