The Supreme Court has directed the Madhya Pradesh government to decide within two weeks on granting sanction to prosecute State Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah for his controversial remarks against Army officer Colonel Sofiya Qureshi during Operation Sindoor. The court expressed displeasure over the state's delay despite a Special Investigation Team completing its probe and submitting a report seeking prosecution sanction. The state cited the matter's pendency before the Supreme Court as a reason for inaction. The court rejected Shah's late online apology and ordered the SIT to investigate additional alleged remarks by him.
