RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Calls for Erasing Caste from Mind to End Discrimination

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat stated that caste discrimination can be eliminated only by removing caste from people's minds. Speaking at the RSS centenary Jan Sangoshthi on January 17, 2026, he noted that caste was originally linked to profession but later became entrenched, causing discrimination. Bhagwat appealed for a mindset change, suggesting that honest efforts could end caste discrimination within 10 to 12 years. He also emphasized the RSS's focus on nation-building through individual character development and invited people to understand the organization by visiting its shakhas.
