Delhi Police and MCD Clear Over 2,200 Encroachments, Tow 3,100 Vehicles in Drive
From June 3 to June 6, the Delhi Traffic Police and Municipal Corporation of Delhi conducted a four-day drive targeting unauthorised encroachments and illegal parking across 144 locations in Delhi. The operation removed 1,264 rehri-patri encroachments and 1,015 other unauthorised structures, impounded or towed 3,123 vehicles, and issued 55,532 challans to improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety. The initiative focused on major roads, markets, and congestion-prone areas, with further phases planned for additional locations.
