The Calcutta High Court disposed of petitions filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) related to the January 8 raids on political consultancy firm I-PAC and its director Pratik Jain. The ED denied seizing any documents during the raids, stating that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee took away materials from the premises. The TMC sought protection of its political data, alleging misuse of the raids. The ED has moved the Supreme Court seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into alleged obstruction by Banerjee and state officials during the raids. The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the matter on January 15.
