Foundation Stone Laid for Udupi Kambala Amid Political Tensions and Cost Dispute

The foundation stone for the Koti-Chennayya Udupi Jodu Kare Kambala slush track was laid on February 28 at Athrady near Manipal, despite reported postponement by the district administration. Kapu MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty, president of the Udupi Kambala Samithi, led the event amid political tensions with former MLA Vinay Kumar Sorake. Former Minister V. Sunil Kumar stated that those claiming district administration involvement should bear full event costs and disclose related funding details.
