Mumbai Metro Line 9's first phase, a 4.97-kilometre stretch between Dahisar East and Kashigaon in Mira Road, is nearing launch after successful trial runs and safety certification by the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety. This corridor will connect Mira-Bhayandar to Mumbai Metro Line 7 at Dahisar East, enhancing connectivity to Andheri and easing congestion on the Western Express Highway. The full Line 9 will span 13.58 kilometres with 10 stations, mostly elevated, improving suburban transit and reducing traffic pressure.
