Uttarakhand Governor's Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing Due to Technical Snag

Uttarakhand Governor Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh's helicopter experienced a technical snag mid-flight on March 8, prompting an emergency landing at the GVK Helipad in Srinagar, Pauri district. The governor was traveling from Dehradun to Gairsain for the state assembly's budget session after attending the Tehri Lake Festival. Following the safe landing, he was taken to a local police guest house. Inclement weather prevented a replacement helicopter, requiring the governor to continue his journey by road. A technical team is inspecting the helicopter to determine the cause of the fault.
