Discussions on the Board, which oversees a U.N.-authorized stabilization force for Palestinian territories, have been paused due to the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict. While some Islamic groups urge Indonesia to exit the board citing U.S. involvement in the war, others suggest using the position to promote de-escalation in the Middle East.
