The 594-kilometre Ganga Expressway, one of India's longest highway projects, is nearing completion with 95% of construction finished. This six-lane corridor will reduce travel time between Meerut and Prayagraj from about 12 to seven hours, connecting 12 districts and 518 villages. Final technical tests, including toll and safety checks, are underway before government approval. The expressway is expected to enhance regional connectivity, boost local economies, and complement existing infrastructure like Meerut's Namo Bharat Corridor and Metro services.
