
Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor assumed the role of Vice-Chief of the Indian Air Force, succeeding Air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari. Air Marshal Kapoor, a fighter pilot with extensive flying experience and prior command of the South Western Air Command and Training Command, was commissioned in 1986. Concurrently, Air Marshal Tejinder Singh took charge as Commander of the South Western Air Command, having been commissioned in 1987.
