A delegation of 12 candidates, including those from Janata Dal, MNS, VBA, and RPI, accused Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar of manipulating the nomination process. They allege Narwekar prevented them from filing forms in South Mumbai wards to ensure unopposed victories for his relatives. The delegation, led by Haribhau Rathod, demanded CCTV footage as proof of alleged threats and intimidation. Municipal Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani stated he would report the matter to the Election Commission, as he cannot accept nominations post-deadline.
