
Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma presented a Rs 17,469.91 crore budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year, focusing on social infrastructure, agriculture, connectivity, healthcare, and anti-narcotics efforts. The budget includes Rs 350 crore for the 'Bana Kaih' scheme supporting farmers, with Rs 150 crore for crop procurement. A new 'Anti-Narcotics Activities' head was created with Rs 40 lakh allocated. Supplementary grants of Rs 3,724.25 crore were also presented, with a projected surplus of Rs 393 crore aimed at reducing liabilities.
