Mizoram CM Presents Rs 17,470 Crore Budget Emphasizing Social and Agricultural Development

Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma presented a Rs 17,469.91 crore budget for the 2026-27 fiscal, focusing on social infrastructure, connectivity, and agriculture. The budget includes Rs 3,724.25 crore in supplementary grants and continues the 'Bana Kaih' scheme with Rs 350 crore allocated. Central tax devolution is projected at Rs 8,608.08 crore, contributing to total revenue receipts. A new 'Anti-Narcotics Activities' budget head with Rs 40 lakh was introduced to enhance drug enforcement efforts.
