Mizoram CM Presents Rs 17,470 Crore Budget for 2026-27 Fiscal Year

Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma presented a Rs 17,469.91 crore budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year, focusing on social infrastructure, connectivity, and agriculture. The budget includes Rs 3,724.25 crore in supplementary demands and allocates Rs 350 crore for the 'Bana Kaih' scheme to support farmers. The state's central tax devolution is projected to increase by over 23% to Rs 8,608.08 crore, providing additional fiscal space for development programs.
