Punjab and Haryana HC Sets Aside Charges Against Hooda and AJL in Panchkula Land Case

The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday set aside criminal charges against former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Associated Journals Limited (AJL) in the Panchkula land re-allotment case. The court found no evidence of wrongdoing, noting the re-allotment was ratified by the Haryana Urban Development Authority and remains valid. It criticized the CBI's prosecution approach as legally untenable, effectively discharging Hooda and AJL from the case.
