
Maharashtra Industries Minister Uday Samant alleged that fake entry passes to the Vidhan Bhavan were being sold for Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000 using forged Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation letterheads and signatures of about 50 officials. Some state legislature personnel and peons were reportedly involved in preparing and distributing these passes. Following the allegations, Legislative Council Chairman Ram Shinde announced an inquiry, with strict action promised after the investigation. The issue arose amid tightened security after a recent bomb threat to the Assembly.
