Jharkhand Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore announced the formation of a high-powered committee, chaired by the development commissioner, to monitor and ensure timely implementation of Assembly announcements and state government schemes. This decision follows opposition concerns that only eight of 68 budget announcements were fulfilled. Kishore also accused the central government of reducing financial assistance to Jharkhand despite submission of utilisation certificates, challenging the Centre to audit the state's fund disbursement. The government pledged inclusive growth with a Rs 1.58 lakh crore budget for 2026-27.
