Mumbai Court Grants Interim Protection to TISS Students in GN Saibaba Event Case

A Mumbai sessions court granted interim protection from arrest to nine Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) students booked for attending an event marking the first death anniversary of former Delhi University professor GN Saibaba. The students face charges including unlawful assembly based on a complaint by the TISS administration. Judge Manoj B Oza warned the students that the case could adversely affect their future employment, including government job prospects, while their anticipatory bail applications remain pending.
