
The Delhi government has directed the Public Works Department to resume construction of four stalled hospitals in Madipur, Jwalapuri, Hastsal, and Siraspur, aiming to add over 3,200 beds. These projects, initiated during the COVID-19 pandemic, have faced delays due to contractual and administrative issues despite over Rs 1,000 crore already spent. Completion is targeted within a year, with Rs 627 crore sought for finishing work and emphasis on accountability and quality control.
