Following the February 14 collapse of a parapet slab on Mumbai's Metro Line 4 in Mulund, which killed one person and injured three, police arrested a 54-year-old welder from Uttar Pradesh for allegedly cutting a critical interlocking hook that caused the collapse. This arrest brings the total accused to six, including project managers. Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court has directed the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority to submit a detailed report within two weeks on safety audits and compensation related to the incident, amid public concerns over metro construction safety.
