
Several artists, including a jazz group and a dance company, have canceled upcoming performances at Washington's Kennedy Center in protest of its renaming to the Trump-Kennedy Center. The Cookers jazz ensemble and Doug Varone and Dancers cited the name change, which includes President Donald Trump, as a reason for their withdrawal. The center's president, Richard Grenell, criticized the cancellations, calling them "derangement syndrome" and attributing the bookings to previous leadership.
