Rahul Gandhi Visits Family of Volleyball Legend Jimmy George in Kannur

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited the family of legendary Indian volleyball player Jimmy George in Thundyil, Kannur, during a farmers' convention. He toured George's house and museum, meeting his brothers and sister-in-law Anju Bobby George, a World Athletics Championship medalist. Gandhi highlighted the family's sporting legacy and called for improved opportunities and infrastructure to support similar sporting families. Jimmy George, an Arjuna Awardee, died in a car accident in Italy in 1987.
