The Punjab and Haryana High Court has stayed the single judge's November 14 order directing the regularisation of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers in the Union Territory who have completed over 10 years of service. The division bench, hearing an appeal by the Chandigarh Administration and others, held the order in abeyance until the next hearing on March 25. The administration argued that SSA posts are part of a central scheme and not merged with the regular teaching cadre, contesting the teachers' legal claim to regularisation.
