Telangana Revises Fire Safety Rules for Provisional Fire NOCs from October 7PreviousNext

The Telangana Fire Services Department has revised its Fire and Life Safety requirements for issuing provisional fire No Objection Certificates (NOCs), effective October 7 for new applications. Residential apartment buildings below 24 meters no longer require a Fire NOC, up from the previous 18-meter threshold. Fire towers and dedicated Fire Command Centre rooms are mandatory for buildings 24 meters and above, regardless of occupancy type. Ventilation rules for diesel generator rooms in basements have also been updated to allow louvres above fire-rated walls with a two-hour resistance rating.
