Air Marshal Tejinder Singh has assumed command of the South Western Air Command (SWAC) in Gandhinagar, succeeding Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor. Kapoor has been appointed as the 50th Vice Chief of Air Staff of the Indian Air Force. This marks a continued trend of SWAC chiefs being elevated to senior positions, with several previous commanders also becoming Vice Chiefs of Air Staff, and one even reaching the rank of Chief of Air Staff.
