
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena will contest the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) elections separately after seat-sharing talks failed. Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol stated the contest would remain friendly despite the split. Shiv Sena leader Neelam Gorhe expressed dissatisfaction, citing an insulting seat offer from the BJP and the denial of opportunities for their workers. The PMC elections are scheduled for January 15, with results on January 16.
